A brainstorming strategy that I have found to work really well for me in my writing process is by making a brainstorming chart. On top of my chart, I include my main claims that I want to cover in my paper and on the left side I add the author’s names of each article. Once I have my chart made, I then go through each article and find ideas to support my claim from each to fill in my chart. This chart allows me to easily organize all of the information I find relevant to support my claims and it helps me have my quotes and ideas side by side to help me better connect and argue each others opinion. I have added a picture of my brainstorming technique above.

Science and music can have the same effect of creating an open-mind by detecting patterns.
